Youth Engagement Guide: Illustrations and layout design

This project brought together graphic design and illustration to support an educational guide aimed at youth engagement. Created in collaboration with Eurodesk and EYRICA, the publication was designed to be both pedagogical, clean and visually engaging.

Eurodesk and EYRICA provided the written content along with a list of suggested illustrations, giving me the foundation to shape the guide visually. From there, I took the lead on layout, illustration, and overall style — aiming to transform plain text into something engaging and visually dynamic.

The illustrations played a key role in drawing readers in. Designed to be playful, inclusive, and relatable, they helped break up dense content and made the material feel more inviting — especially for youth workers, non-formal educators, and volunteers.

The illustrations were central to capturing readers' attention.

The guide itself offers a clear, practical overview of youth participation models, backed by useful tips, examples of good practice, and a well-curated list of resources.

The project also included a set of minimalist posters for print, designed to complement the guide and extend its impact.

Illustrations and design came together—playfully, purposefully— to give the toolkit its own personality.
